They go fast, often stay upright and they do not turn easily.
If you want to learn to sail on a catamaran, I would recommend you try a few hours of dinghy sailing. If you enjoy the dinghy, but what really makes your heart go is looking at your GPS and seeing the speed, a catamaran might be good for you.
There are 2 sailing schools that offer Catamaran classes:
Ecole de voile de Lachine. Sailing from this harbour is difficult - there are the Lachine rapids nearby and the water is shallow. A catamaran is an excellent boat to explore the area.
